Fabulous venue in midcoast Maine

July 10, 2008
The Colonel Timothy Williams Homestead in Rockland, Maine was built in the mid 1800's.  It is a small mansion on a beautiful property bordered by two quarries.  The grand hallway is a bride's dream location for photos.  The original tromp l'oeil painting has been restored and has been claimed to be an exciting find for historians.  The rooms vary in size and the flow is perfect for an elegant or casual event.  The young owners, Christian & Kathryn Clayton, are US National Rising Star Ballroom Champions and can offer dance lessons and/or performances.  Christian is also a world class chef who has appeared on The Food Network as a guest chef, has won many gold medals and perfect scores around the world for his pastries, including the coveted World Cup in Luxembourg.  He can offer a spectacular, perfectly prepared and served menu for your big day and/or a cooking class for the wedding party or rehearsal dinner.  There is a small barn area attached to the home and plenty of room out back for a large tent with a view that overlooks acres of fields and an old farm.   A vintage car can be arranged for transporation and makes the perfect photo in front of the home with your guests gathered around.
The Claytons may be reached at
