Have the Best Party Ever for Your Young Child
Birthdays are one of the magical days in a child's life. It is their celebration when they are in the spotlight. Help make their day special with a little advance planning. For preschool age children, make sure that you have games and activities that meet their attention span. Active games are great for this age group, like Duck, Duck, Goose. Writing games will not succeed because they don't yet know how to read. Face painting is very likely to be smeared but balloons will be a Hit! Have an adequate number of helpers for a large group as they will be running in all directions. Don't plan it over nap time if at all possible. Girls and boys still enjoy being together as "cooties" has not arrived yet.
The maximum time limit is 2 hours if you have planned activities. If the birthday child will be opening gifts, this would be a good time to have an activity, such as birthday cake or coloring for the other children. During craft time a balloon artist could create balloons for each child. Children love to dress up so theme parties are very fun.
With advance planning, you will enjoy the day too.
