Game shows came into existence with the debut of the “Spelling Bee” in 1938. Game shows are TV shows with the same basic concept: a host that directs the whole program and contestants who answer various questions, or compete in some sort of physical activity to win money. TV game shows have turned into American classics with shows running 20 years and more like The Price is Right, Jeopardy!, and Family Feud. If you can’t think of a party theme and you want to do something fun, why not throw a TV show party? It will be so fun for everyone to dress up like cheesy contestants and for someone to play the host. You could break up in teams or play individually. You could make up a TV show; mimic one that is already on the air, or adapt a board game like Cranium, Trivial Pursuit, or really any other game that requires the answering of questions. If you are thinking of planning a TV game show party, make sure you have gifts and prizes for the winners, some lights or other decorations, and food and drinks! If you still need some more ideas, tips, or other help, just browse our directory for party planners and vendors in your area. Just type in your city and state, and you will be in touch with the right companies. Have fun!
