If you are in the business of gift giving (whether a hobby or a real paid job) you know how important gift wrap is. Gift wrap is the corner stone of gifting. Without it, no one would ever get to shake a package to hear what’s inside, no one would have the pleasure of ripping (gently or sporadically) the gift wrap off the package to reveal its content. Christmas morning wouldn’t be the same without mounds of gift wrap on the floor everywhere, and neither would birthdays! Gift wrap is essential to gift giving, and I’ve wrapped many a present in my day. It is an art to master, and it’s so much fun.
If you run out of gift wrap, then there are other things you can use. I’ve used tripled up tissue paper before. The first time I used it as gift wrap, I tried to keep it super straight and smooth, and it turned out ok after I got the bow on it, but the next time, I purposely crinkled and wadded it up, then I sort of over lapped it and taped it with clear tape. I then tied raffia around it, and it was really cute! If you are a part or full time gift wrapper, you know the importance of a gift wrap organizer – before that, I had tape, scissors, rolls, and everything else flying here there and everywhere! That gift wrap organizer made my life easier.
