Ancient Rome Party Theme

Celebrate as the Romans did with these party ideas:

Purchase Roman-inspired invitations or make your own out of brown parchment paper.

Place pastel fabric over furniture and add plenty of velvet pillows.  Statues and columns give the space an ancient feel.  Paint grapes vines on the columns.  Scatter gold-painted leaves on the floor.

Sip glasses of wine and serve a feast of turkey legs and fruits.

Invite guests to dress as ancient Romans with tunics, velvet capes, gold cord belts, and leather armor.  Or, dress as Julius Caesar, slaves, and gladiators.

Entertain the crowd with theme-appropriate movies like “Gladiator.”
