Have a funky time at the disco with friends!
For costumes, keep in mind the John Travolta look in “Saturday Night Fever.” Wear a funky leisure suit, gold necklace, and platform shoes. Dress in '70s fashion with a disco man costume, a go-go girl costume or make your own with bell bottoms, platform shoes, and hippie shirts. Other options include dressing up as famous '70s icons like Diana Ross, the Jackson 5, or the Village People.
Turn your home into Studio 54. Add strobes lights, a fog machine, disco music, and a dance-floor area, and you’re ready to boogie! Musical favorites include Sly and the Family Stone, The Village People, Donna Summer, Elton John, and The Commodores.
Also set up a lounge area for guests to mingle and reminisce. Place bean bag chairs throughout the area, light it with lava lamps, and burn incense to set the mood.
Sing along to your favorite ‘70s tunes with Karaoke. Award prizes to the best or most entertaining singers.
