Moroccan Party Theme
Journey to Morroco for an exotic party!
Use low mosaic tables and couches with pillows. Sprinkle belly-dancer coins around the candles and on the table for added sparkle. Gather brightly-colored candles, and use these for centerpieces. Set up a Moroccan Caidale Tent as kings and sultans used to do. Hang Moroccan-inspired lanterns to set the mood.
Set up separate tents for tarot card readers and palm readers. Hire Belly dancers to perform traditional dances for guests or provide belly dancing lessons. Hire henna artists to adorn guests with traditional body art. Rent hookahs for the adults guests. Play Moroccan music in the background throughout the party.
Costume ideas include belly dancers, gypsies, Moroccan sultans, princesses, or princes.
Serve a Moroccan feast with tangine chicken,lamb kebabs on couscous; and chopped salad with chickpeas and lentils. Green tea with mint is a popular Moroccan drink.
