Amira Hamzar of Beledi Global Dance Center in Traverse City Michigan (www.BelediGlobalDanceCenter.com) is the facilitator of the Traverse City Chapter of PURE (Public Urban Ritual Experiment) as well as the Artistic Director of the award-winning Dancers of the Rising Phoenix.
She has taught and performed throughout Michigan including Detroit, Bay City, Glen Arbor, Holland, Kalkaska, Petoskey and Traverse City including the Traverse City Opera House, the Dennos Museum, The Bellydance Divas bellydance show Isis Awakens, the National Cherry Festival, Hollands Tulip Time, the Grand Haven Golf Club as well as sharing the stage with New York Citys Bellyqueen and opening for and performing with Axiom of Choice. Amira also performs with props such as sword, tray, fire, Zills, Riq, veil, cane and Wings of Isis.
Amira teaches and performs Cabaret Bellydance, Tribal Bellydance (American Tribal Style and Tribal Fusion), Polynesian, Masala Bhangra and Bollywood, Bailarabia (Latin-Bellydance Fusion), Kundalini Bellydance, Pop Raks (Hip-Hop-Bellydance Fusion), Rak-A-By Baby Bellydance (Pre-Natal Bellydance), Goddess-Dance, Rak-A-Billy (Country-Bellydance Fusion), Ants-In-Your-Pants Bellydance and AfRakan (African-Bellydance Fusion). Amira and the Dancers of the Rising Phoenix can adapt their performance to fit the theme of your party for an event that no-one will forget!
