BackBeat is a high-quality dance band, which plays rock and pop music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and the present (with a little bit of country, jazz, soul, blues and funk thrown in for good measure)!
Three members of BackBeat were charter members of the band Dreambreakers which previously was chosen by the Houston Press as the Best Cover Band in Houston. Since then, we have added two female vocalists and have considerably expanded the scope of our repertoire! Our goal has been to make BackBeat the #1 dance and fun band in the Houston area.
We are a group of professionals who love to entertain and have been playing music for many years. If you choose us to play, we will make sure that your guests are entertained and that you can enjoy the evening without having to worry about any entertainment-related hassles. We have always had positive responses from playing - the guests dance, the guests sing-along, the guests play percussion instruments, etc.! Everyone gets a chance to be a "star," on the dance floor or on the stage!
