Vilia is an accomplished and popular award winning Middle Eastern dance artist who can be seen performing regularly throughout Southern California and Mexico. Vilia performs at weddings, birthdays, engagement parties, bar mitzvahs, fundraisers and other public and private functions. Her varied and extensive knowledge and training in a myriad of dance stylizations has helped her to develop a dynamic and elegant style all her own. Vilia's expertise includes Egyptian, Lebanese and American cabaret stylizations using veils and finger cymbals. Vilia is also proficient in folkloric rhythms and stylization including Saidi Cane, Debke, Khaleegi, Shamadan (Candelabra) and Turkish 9/8. Fusion styles include Gypsy/Flamenco and fantasy using specialized props such as double veil, candle tray, sword, tambourine, shawl and fan work. Vilia is the artistic director and lead choregrapher of the Arabina Dance Company which performs professionally choreographed dance shows every weekend in San Diego.
