Makeup is a very personal thing - it is an expression of individual personality and style. It should enhance and improve who we are - never mask it. On your wedding day, you want to look like you - only a more beautiful and radiant you.
When I meet a client for a consultation before an event - I talk to her. I get a sense of her style and personality. I see who she is - and I listen to what she wants to look like. Then, I begin the makeup application.
For a Wedding or special event, clothing plays a pivotal role - it sets the stage. Is the dress beaded? Satin? Classic or modern? White, or cream? I will ask about the decor of the room, the color of the flowers, the wardrobe of the bridal party and the time of the event. Bring along any photographs, magazine articles, fabric swatches, or whatever inspires you. All this, combined with skin tone, hair color and personal style - are the factors that decide the finished look.
During my career as a makeup artist, I have done the faces of countless models, and industry professionals, but, I have to say, that nothing gives me more personal satisfaction than making a bride feel confident and beautiful on her wedding day.
