GOOD CLEAN FUN, Good Clean Fun Band, Good Clean Fun Wedding Band, Good Clean Fun Irish Wedding Band.
HISTORY:
Good Clean Fun was created by me, Michael Bruccoleri (guitarist/vocalist/band leader/emcee), in January, 1997 when I approached a female vocalist/guitarist (Eileen Fogarty), and told her about my idea, which was simply to start a great wedding and party band.
Our 2-piece band was originally named ’Brock & Fogarty’. By the end of 1997, we added a full-time drummer (Lincoln Hubley), and by the end of 1998, we had officially changed the name to ’Good Clean Fun’. By 2000, we were going full swing, and had grown into a 4-piece band, which now included Matt Rocchio on bass and vocals. We also had TWO singing keyboardists with us (Frankie Lees, and Greg Gruber), who were not officially in the band, but who played most major affairs with us.
In 2004, the band divided, with the guitarist and drummer going one way, and with Matt and Greg coming my way. Frankie remains a free-lancer.
The other band became known as ’Eileen Fogarty and the Very Best’, while my band retained the name ’Good Clean Fun’.
GOOD CLEAN FUN NOW:
We are now a full-time 6-piece band, including drummer Roger Murdock, female vocalist Lisa Lamere, and a multi-instrumentalist named Keith Gurland. Keith plays tenor and alto sax, clarinet, flute, penny or tin whistle, and piano.
We’re not in pubs much anymore, but we are keeping very busy playing weddings parties and dinner dances.
Although the standard line-up is 6 pieces, GCF can be hired with as few as 3 pieces, or as many as 14 (including horn section).
MATERIAL:
GCF plays all forms of pop music, from Swing/Big Band, to 50s & 60’s Rock, to Reggae & Calypso, to Disco & Dance, New Wave, Classic Rock, 70s, 80s, 90s to present, R&B, Motown, Soul, Funk, Punk, Standards, Country, and lots and lots of Irish music.
TRAVEL:
Although most of GCF’s clients have hailed from the NY Tri-State area, the band has also play in Chicagoland, Cleveland, Boston, Rhode Island, and PA. GCF is also happy to perform abroad, having played in Phuket Thailand, Trinidad, Ireland, and England.
NOTE:
Leader Mike Bruccoleri was also a member (2003-2006) of the wildly popular 60’s band ’Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone’ (peternoone.com).
