Hiliya Resort Home Stay is situated at Kenichira, in Wayanad District of Kerala, popularly known as “Gods Own Country” in the tourism and leisure industry. Hiliya Resort Bed and Breakfast is a real experience to stay in a seventy five years old Kerala style heritage Bungalow and tree house surrounded by acres of organic farm with spices and fruit trees. The farm, situated on a river bank, grows cardamom, vanilla, coffee, pepper, ginger, turmeric, coconut, areca nut, rubber, banana, mango, jack fruit, vegetables etc. Across the river is a tropical forest with wild life, animals, birds and a wide spectrum of flora fauna.
Hiliya Resort Farm Stay is situated at the middle of Wayanad District, just 12 Kms from Mennangadi Junction on NH 212 between Kalpetta and Sultan Battery on Calicut- Bangalore Highway.
Accommodation is provided in family suite, deluxe room, dormitory or tree house to the choice of the customer subject to availability. Traditional Kerala style menu prepared from organic farm grown products is an added attraction. Recreation activities include badminton and indoor games. Our friendly staff will provide you a homely atmosphere and English-speaking guides take you around to various Wayanad tourist spots for site seeing and adventure.

We stayed in Hiliya resort for three nights in Dec 2011. We arrived at Hiliya through a patch of narrow unpaved road of around 300 meters
from the main road. However no issues in finding the place itself. Thanks to Mathew who was always there to help us.
The first impression about the place is that it is very quiet. You will notice that it is not exactly
a resort but a mixture of homestay and resort.
We were given double deluxe room and was clean and neat. The bathroom was quite spacious with tiles of very good quality.
The room was not very spacious, but adequate enough. You also get a large cupboard which can easily accomodate all of your clothes and personal
things. Also, LCD TV in the room with Airtel DTH connection is a nice thing. You can play badminton in the open space or caram for the more reclined ones.There are all sorts of trees around the resort. Coconut, spices,bamboo, banana etc. The backyard of the resort is lovely. We loved taking a quiet walk through the trees.
We loved the food served at breakfast and dinner. A remarkable thing I noticed was the kitchen. It was very clean and tidy. Full marks here.
The best thing about this resort is the hospitability by the staff and of course Mathew. He was very attentive and helpful to all of our queries.
As per Mathew's suggestion we opted for Kerala massage which was done in Kenichira town and enjoyed it a lot. Nice experience.
Overall, a nice homely place which is simple with adequate facilities and is clean. |
