Intrepid Artists Int’l was founded in Dec of 1994 by current owner and President of the company, Rick Booth. Our offices are located in beautiful midtown Charlotte, NC overlooking the uptown skyline. Intrepid has always chosen to remain “boutique” agency with emphasis on “Quality” NOT “Quantity.” For more than a decade, we have represented some of the very finest musicians in the world and have become known throughout the industry as an agency that can be counted on for not only delivering great music but also for honesty, service and reliability. With a full staff of knowledgeable agents, Intrepid has been recognized by The Blues Foundation on two seperate occasions for being the Best Agency in the business. Blues Wax Magazine has recognized Intrepid as the Best in the Business as well and the city of Charlotte has recognized Intrepid for representing the city well in the music industry.
We pride ourselves on having a very diverse roster, representing a wide range of roots music that includes, Blues, Blues/Rock, Funk, Jam, Zydeco and Bluegrass music. As many of you know, since Intrepid was in it’s early stages we have always had the finest stable of “guitar slingers” in the business that now includes Walter Trout, Eric Sardinas, Tinsley Ellis and Chris Duarte just to name a few.
We also represent some of the finest blues artists in the business including John Lee Hooker Jr, Kenny Neal, Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials, Bernard Allison, Duwayne Burnside, Jimbo Mathus, Watermelon Slim and Jerry Portnoy.
Our more “Jammy” roots rock artists include the likes of Tishamingo, Blueground Undergrass, Greyhounds, and Shady Deal and if it's funk you are in to, then look no further that The Original P, Yo’ Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band or Mother’s Finest! If the Louisiana sounds of Zydeco is your thing, then we have that too, representing the very best in Lil’ Brian & The Travelers, Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band and Lil’ Malcolm & The Zydeco Houserockers.
As you can see, there is a little something for everybody at Intrepid. We have become the one stop shop for “Simply the best music on the planet!”
