I am a freelance musician, currently invoved with five different groups: The world music duo with master percussionist Steve Leicach, entitled "African Rhythms and World Music," plays traditional and original music from the African disapora, using percussion, guitar, vocals and wind instruments. The quartet, "Jazzberry Jam" plays standards and originals in the jazz/R&B vain; their instrumentation is sax, clarinet, guitar, upright and electric bass, drums and vocals. In addition to party/wedding/dance experience, the above bands also have performed school educational programs.
The motown/soul/worldbeat group, "Mogo Ya" is a five-piece band that uses keys, bass, drums, guitar, and female and male vocals to keep people movin' and groovin'. Their influences range from Smokey Robinson to Bob Marley to indie.arie, and they play covers and originals.
The acoustic rock duo with singer-songwriter Dan Kasnitz, entitled simply "Kasnitz & Cook," plays classic rock/pop originals and covers from the fifties through the nineties, using vocals, acoustic guitar and double bass. Lastly, "Kasnitz & Cook" goes electric with drummer Jeremy Holch to form "The Elements," a classic rock power trio dance band.
