LaRyan catering is a joke. I would not recommend hiring them especially for a wedding reception. Fernando and his sales rep Debra are very deceptive. My daughter and now son in law – met with them several times prior to the wedding reception. They have a signed contract and were assured by Fernando and Debra everything will take care of just as they discussed. LaRyan catering did not deliver!
They changed the original contract AFTER final payment without consulting my daughter. (She has the original signed contract). They started dinner 1.5 hours LATE. That threw the entire reception in a tail spin. Debra, who assured my daughter she would be present the whole evening was not there- oh she came in at one point wearing a SWEAT suit and took a few pictures of our reception decorations & wedding cake and slipped out the door! We asked one of the servers to call Fernando at least 6 times that night- to address the disaster that was unfolding before our eyes. He NEVER showed up to take care of anything.
Every guest was served 1/2 or 1/3 of the contracted amount of food – everything was cut in HALF! The food was cold and tasteless. The original contact calls for 4 omelet chefs, Fernando sent 2, and 1 of those 2 had NEVER made an omelet before- she was actually being trained while we watched! It was so stressful, since they we already 1.5 hours LATE. That chef, alone, dropped 3 omelets, burned too many to count, blew the flame out on one and spit on it in the process The tables were not bussed all night, Nothing, no service - ZERO
The head table was supposed to be served- but they had to go get their own food, and then they had no forks on the table in which to eat the food. None of the tables had salt and pepper shakers on them. (When we asked – 15 min. later we were brought 2 salt shakers for the entire reception). And the head table never got served wedding cake not one person in the wedding party got any of the wedding cake!
Several health code violations; washing forks in a sink w/ HAND SOAP to reuse them. Thankfully we saw them and put a stoop to that! Then again we caught them washing plates w/ HAND SOAP and put a stop to that!
We had several items come up missing; 6 bottles of champagne, we had 3 blue tubs w/ champagne in them- one tub GONE! We had 5 large to-go container for left over’s- they were gone. 3 different people reported they had just bought drinks from the bar, sat them down at their seats and the servers who did not bus any tables all night- took the full drinks!
There is too much more for me to type. Just save your self the heartache of a ruined reception- don’t hire La Ryan catering! |

Check out this co. on BBB and their references. Very disatified with them! Most information they gave us was false. They work out of a home and have been around coupkle years and they are not members of any Chambers. |
