Peabody Ragtime Ensemble, an acoustic Baltimore-based septet, formed in 1974 while members were students at the Peabody Conservatory of Music. Today, under the direction of Ed Goldstein, the Ensemble has evolved into a "little Big Band" that preserves the roots of American jazz through performances in concert, wedding, dance and party settings. . Named: “Best Jazz Band, “Best Wedding Musicians,” Best Party Band” by Baltimore Magazine; “Best Dixieland Band” by Washington Area Music Association. |
