Radio King Orchestra, by way of credentials, has performed on NBC's The West Wing, The Kennedy Center New Year's Eve Gala, Muscular Dystrophy Gala, The Care Ball, Smithson Society Gala, and GW Cancer Ball to name a few.
RKO has developed a niche in the big band arena by creating an atmosphere of sophistication AND excitement performing arrangements made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett and more
an experience reminiscent of Vegas Swing of the 1950s. Covering most dance styles, the band can please all levels of dancer, from the beginner to the experienced. The vast repertoire of the group includes not only the well known WWII era big band standards but a large concentration of lush big band arrangements from the Rat Pack era of the 1950s and early 60s. The energetic interactive performance of this timeless and classic music bridges generations and creates an affair to remember. An RKO performance is appropriate for a wide range of events from a formal gala with a large dance floor to an outdoor festival with concert seating. As the orchestra performs for many events which involve recognitions and awards, acceptance and exit music can also be requested and performed. http://www.rkoswing.com
