Playing beautiful, haunting melodies that stir the soul and rousing dance tunes that can bring an audience to their feet, Bert Blue has recorded pipes for film, theatre, radio and television. He has played for All-Scotland Highland Dance Champions; British royalty; toured with The Chieftains and is Pipe Major of Snoopy's Own Pipe Band.
He appears in concert at music and folk festivals and in clubs all across America singing as well as playing Celtic-style guitar and other instruments. As an entertainer, he brings the pulse-quickening music of the Scottish bagpipes to the stage as no other- beyond the difficult and complex fingering is the brilliant phrasing and the phenomenal expression and emotion that can only be heard from true masters of piping. |
