Sol Latino has strong folkloric connotation of high musical quality. Each musician is proficient in several instruments. Our musical instrument list includes: the "Paraguayan Harp" (also known as "Arpa Paraguaya"); the "Quena" (a recorder-like flute made of bamboo); the “Sampoña” (a pan flute made from bamboo); el “Palo de agua” (rain stick); Classical guitars; el "Cuatro" from Puerto Rico (Mandolin like instrument); and other instruments including percussion. We also have a classical trained tenor singer. Sol Latino has been performing and entertaining the American and International audience for nearly 20 years. Our versatility lets us play in many occasions including weddings ceremonies, live shows, serenades (serenatas), conventions, festivals, restaurants, cafes, and dinner parties. Basically, anywhere that a sophisticated, exotic, and uplifting live musical show and ambiance is desired. Mobility is easy for Sol Latino since we can also perform acoustically (unplugged); and can convert to “strolling musicians” if required.
