Sound Proof Discos was established in 1990. Initially we started out small, operating only with one sound system playing at a wedding here and doing a fundraiser there. We then started to advertise in the local paper (since our budget was very constraint we had to go for the smallest ads!) but potential customers did notice us and very soon we were starting to establish some sort of reputation for our mobile disco company. Most of our business came from people referring us by way of âword-of-mouthâ, and that itself was a milestone for us.
Gradually our business started to grow. We had to invest in another sound system and
soon we were able to acquire another one. We then started to play more frequently and we needed to expand our operations even further. We then recruited 5 more DJâs and a qualified sound engineer to join our successful team. These people are all trained professionals and take pride in their work and in what they do.
From there on there was no more looking back for us and as each day went by we grew from strength to strength. Bookings were starting to flood in, as more and more people required our services. When asking them in our customer feedback questionnaire why they had chosen SoundProof Discos to host their event, we could summarize their answers into one sentence: Professional people providing a great service and excellent customer service! That is why we believe that we are the best in the business because we cater for all kinds of events and we are very versatile in what we do.
Our future plans are to expand our company throughout the whole of South Africa with branches in the Northern Province, Kwazulu Natal and the Free State Province. With this network we can ensure that we give our customers the best possible service ever and that we meet all the standards that are required from a Top Mobile Disco Company.
Since this a family business we believe in a hands-on approach â all 3 brothers
(and co-founders) are actively involved in the day-to-day operation ensuring that âpersonal touchâ to all of our customers. All three of us are currently still DJâing and that is what we
stand for: âWe do best! What we do! The best!â Nothing give us a bigger thrill than to play at
a wedding or even a corporate function and you see people, young and old, getting it on! When they go wild and you say for yourself: This is what our business is all about- providing entertainment! When they come to you afterwards and say:â Wow! We canât remember when
we last had so much fun and enjoyment. It was great!â That really gets the adrenalin pumping and that makes it all so much more the worthwhile!
