Located on the San Joaquin Delta, Stockton offers planners the Waterfront Events Center. The center includes the 10,000-seat Stockton Arena, adjacent to the, 5,000-seat Stockton Ballpark. Additional downtown Stockton meeting facilities include the Weber Point Events Center, an open-air waterfront amphitheater that can seat up to 3,000; the restored, 2,000-seat Bob Hope Theatre; and the 3,600-seat Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium. Several educational institutions also offer meeting space: San Joaquin Delta College makes available its 2,000-seat Atherton Auditorium, and at the University of the Pacific, groups can book the Alex G. Spanos Center, which has event space for up to 6,150 people, or the Amos Alonzo Stagg Memorial Stadium, which seats up to 30,000. The San Joaquin County Fairgrounds has five buildings for a total of 180,715 square feet of event space.
Stockton hotels with meeting space include the 198-room Hilton/Stockton, with 13,000 square feet of meeting space for up to 500; The 179-room waterfront Stockton Sheraton (opens Fall 2007), with 10,000 square feet of meeting space for up to 500; the 141-room Best Western Stockton Inn, with meeting space for up to 400; and the 202-room Holiday Inn/Stockton, with event space for up to 300. The 89-room Courtyard by Marriott/Stockton has meeting space for up to 40, and the 66-suite Residence Inn by Marriott/Stockton has event space for up to 20.
