Introducing Sundance Band, a powerhouse of music and styles that belies its small package. One of the most frequently heard comments by their live audiences is âÂÂI canâÂÂt believe so much music can be made by just three people.â But it is! Every note played and sung is live. No sequencers or pre-recorded sounds will be heard.
The uniqueness of this trio is in the ability of each member to bring something extra to their live sound. For example, Dennis, an accomplished bass player, has incorporated that talent into our sound while simultaneously playing exquisite guitar, literally fulfilling two players roles at once. When he pauses to take a lead guitar solo, then Barry seamlessly takes up the bass duties. Meanwhile Linda not only fronts and sings lead and harmony vocals that would make her the envy of any band but does it all while playing a full drum sound.
The end result of this is a full live band sound but with all the benefits of a small controllable spontaneous professional act.
Another commonly noted characteristic of this trio is itâÂÂs astonishingly wide variety of musical material. This includes a musical journey through the American standard catalog going all the way back to songs from our audiences youth.
Linda McCormic â Drums, Lead and Background Vocals
Linda began singing on the stage at the age of three. Growing up in a Barbershop music family, her ear was trained from a young age. Since then she has won numerous vocal awards including Most Promising Female Entertainer of 2002 for the North American Country Music Association. Her skill at harmonization enhances every Sundance Performance.
Dennis Robinson â Rhythm Guitar, Lead and Background Vocals
Dennisâ versatility is evident with his background in Rock and Roll, Country, Blues and Jazz. Having recorded for Mercury, Verve and MGM Records as well as touring Germany and Alaska with the USO, Dennis brings a lot to the table. He has opened for Mickey Gilley, Louise Mandrell, Jeff Foxworthy, Chris Ledoux.
Barry Amundsen â Lead Guitar, Lead and Background Vocals
Barry began playing guitar at the age of eight and has been singing professionally for many years. Having a background in Classic Rock and Country, he has also played styles as diverse as Reggae, Blues and Top 40. More than a great player, Barry focuses on creating a guitar sound that is as pleasing to the ear as it is conducive to the song. He is the backbone of the Sundance âÂÂsoundâ as he also serves as our sound man. He has opened for artists such as Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Marshall Tucker Band, Mark Chesnutt, Joe Diffie, Reba McIntire and Martina McBride
