The Jazz Exchange is a versatile group performing jazz throughout the New York metropolitan area. Players have included Matt Jansiwksi, Jim Bell, Andy McCalick, Mike Bond, Emilio Guarino, Leo Volf, Barry Spatz, Steele Hilier, Justin Gaynor, Dane Alexander, Steve Marchiarullo and more!!! The band performs for weddings, restaurants, clubs, parties, events, and takes pride in delivering music that can take any willing listener for a journey in sound. Performances usually include interesting spins on classics and standards, kickin' latin tunes, grooving funk, and moving original material. The group has a modern, refreshing sound that catches your ear with music that gives you an experience. The original repertoire and arrangements explore a melting pot of styles heavily influenced by latin, funk, swing, and classical.
The group is available in different orchestrations depending on the needs of the venue or client. We want to deliver interesting, fun, and emotional music for all occassions and all people! This means being adaptable to the very different needs of countless performance situations. Some gigs may headline our own music, some may need an atmosphere for dining, and others might need us to get a room of people dancing! Whether we're performing as a piano/organ trio, with a singer, quartet, or as a kickin' septet, the motive behind our music remains the same.!!
The group is available for cocktail hours, receptions, parties, clubs, private events, public functions, ANYTHING!
