Our organization is made up of truly professional JP’s in NH. The organization was started in 2007 and currently has a membership of 15.
The organization was created by Lee Laroche of Weare, NH . Lee became a JP in Feb of 2006.
After receiving her license she went looking for some sort of support for Justices in NH, and found none. How could that be? Someone receives a license to perform one of the most important events of one’s life and there are no support groups, no written guidelines (since, the state of NH has developed a
manual for Notaries and JPs) no Code of Ethics, just nothing! That would be a pretty scary thing to me if I was planning on using a JP for my ceremony!
So, the NHJPA was formed. The NHJPA does offer some benefits to the members but the main benefit of the organization is to the public. We can put the newly engaged couple’s minds at ease. They know that they are going to be treated fairly and with professionalism.
