Hi, I’m Phil and I’ve been a DJ for 14 years. My (1) taste, (2) mixing abilities, (3) vast vinyl record collection, and (4) experience mixing vinyl are the things that set me apart from other local event DJs. Check out my minute-long introduction video and compilation of dancefloor footage.
Yes, I play MP3s too, and yes, I have all the latest hits, but if you want to hire an awesome vinyl DJ who will show up and rock your party with decks and a couple of crates of records, I’m definitely your guy.
I’ve DJ’ed weddings, corporate events, birthdays, school dances, retirement parties, house parties, and clubs. I have my own P.A. system and gear so if you give me a power outlet I can start a dance party.
In preparation for each event, I work with the organizer to make sure that the music I bring matches their tastes and the appropriate tone of the party. I mix and beat match all of my songs (when appropriate). Established in 2004. I started DJing house parties as a sophomore in college using CDJs. My senior year I bought turntables and focused on playing vinyl records. After graduating I moved to San Francisco, worked in a record store, bought a ton of records, and played clubs (Underground SF, Raven, Honey Soundsystem) and house parties. I bought synths and drum machines and started producing dance music with Ableton Live, which led me to start DJing with the software. As I got older, many of my friends (and friends of friends) got married and I was an obvious choice to provide music for their weddings because I had more than 1,000 records and my own P.A. At the beginning of 2018, I moved back to Austin (my hometown) and I’ve DJed a variety of events and locations from clubs (Plush, Kinda Tropical, Volstead Lounge), to middle and elementary school dances, and tons of weddings.
